Patrice Evra's future may reportedly lie at Selhurst Park.

According to the Guardian's Ed Aarons, Crystal Palace is in talks to sign Evra on a permanent transfer from Juventus. The French left-back will apparently be offered an 18-month contract by the Eagles, as Sam Allardyce is looking to fill the void left by the injured Pape Souare in defense.

Evra, 35, allegedly asked to leave Juventus last week and was omitted from the Old Lady's squad for its 3-0 Serie A victory over Bologna FC 1909 on Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Giuseppe Moratta, Juventus' CEO and general manager for sport area, claimed Evra was contemplating the next step, saying: "He was not called up by mutual agreement, as he is considering his future. It's only right he's taking a moment to reflect, as his contract will expire in June."

As for what the media is saying, Evra was linked with a transfer to Valencia, but Marca's Diego Pico wrote Thursday that the defender rejected the option of joining Los Che. Gazzetta dello Sport, meanwhile, linked him with a return to Manchester United, where he would join Jose Mourinho's coaching staff.

Evra's minutes in the 2016-17 Serie A season only total 247.
