Giants' McAdoo on boat trip: 'It didn't have anything to do with the ball game'

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo downplayed the significance of his wide receivers' boat trip following Sunday's 38-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Odell Beckham Jr., Victor Cruz, Sterling Shepard, Roger Lewis and the rest of the Giants' receivers spent Monday on a yacht in Miami, and later partied with pop superstar Justin Bieber. Cruz posted a photo to Instagram, which he later deleted but numerous people took a screen shot of the image.

After the game, McAdoo dismissed the notion that the trip affected the result of Sunday's game.

"It didn't have anything to do with the ball game," McAdoo said, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

McAdoo did criticize the group for their play, however, noting that Beckham's ball skills weren't adequate on Sunday. Beckham finished with four catches for 28 yards on 11 targets.
