There could be a reunion in the cards between the Baltimore Orioles and Jason Hammel.

Dan Duquette, Baltimore's vice president of baseball operations, revealed Sunday that his team isn't ruling out the free agent in their search for a veteran addition to their rotation, he told MLB Network Radio's Jim Bowden and Jim Duquette.

"We like him, especially the way he pitched for us," Duquette said.

Camden Yards wouldn't be an unfamiliar locale for the right-hander to ply his trade in 2017. After a 2012 trade from the Colorado Rockies sent him to Baltimore, Hammel played two seasons with the Orioles where he posted a combined 4.27 ERA in 46 games (43 starts).

The 34-year-old is coming off a 15-10 season in 2016 with the Chicago Cubs, crafting a 3.83 ERA over 30 starts. The Cubs allowed Hammel to test free agency after rejecting a $12-million option for 2017.
