Report: Robinson, Farmar among 10-day possibilities for Sixers
With the NBA's 10-day contract window opening this past week, it sounds like the Philadelphia 76ers have their eyes on a couple veteran point guards.
According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, Nate Robinson and Jordan Farmar, as well as Yogi Ferrell, are among the players on Philadelphia's "scouting radar."
While the Sixers have amassed quite the collection of young, frontcourt talent over the course of their multi-year rebuild, the team is still woefully thin at the point. Jerryd Bayless, whom the team signed to a three-year contract this summer, played only three games before a wrist injury ended his season, and Sergio Rodriguez is recovering from a sprained ankle, leaving T.J. McConnell as the team's defacto starter of late.
Robinson, who hasn't played since Oct. 2015, couldn't find any NBA suitors after a failed attempt at the NFL, while Farmar was waived by the Sacramento Kings a couple weeks into this season.
Ferrell, 23, represents a more youthful option. The Indiana product went undrafted in June after a four-year collegiate career, appearing in 10 games with the Nets earlier this season, in which he averaged 5.4 points and 1.7 assists in 15 minutes per game.
