There's a new single-tournament goal-scoring leader for Russia at the World Junior Championship.
Kirill Kaprizov notched his tournament-leading ninth goal with a second effort in Thursday's bronze-medal game, laying claim to the most prolific goal-scoring record for a tournament in the country's history.
The fifth-round draft pick of the Minnesota Wild has a comfortable three-goal cushion over Sweden's Joel Eriksson Ek and Colin White of the United States for tournament honors, but will finish shy of Markus Naslund's record of 13 set in 1993.
Russian great Pavel Bure scored 12 goals at the 1991 world juniors, but did so representing the Soviet Union.
