Monchengladbach nabs Kolodziejczak from Sevilla
Bundesliga struggler Borussia Monchengladbach has added some experience to its back line, signing French defender Timothee Kolodziejczak to a four-and-a-half-year deal from Sevilla.
The Andalusian side announced Kolodziejczak's departure Wednesday, with the Lyon academy product joining Die Fohlen after two-and-a-half seasons in La Liga.
After his role at the Sevilla diminished this season under new manager Jorge Sampaoli, Kolodziejczak's move to Germany makes sense. The 25-year-old has made a scant five appearances in La Liga, paired with a three-minute run out in the Champions League against his former Les Gones.

Sevilla was quick to fill the vacancy left by Kolodzieczak's departure, signing centre-back Clement Lenglet from AS Nancy on Wednesday to a four-year deal, marking a dozen additions to the squad since Sampaoli took over for Unai Emery in the summer.

In Kolodzieczak, 'Gladbach is getting a versatile two-time Europa League-winning defender able to ply his trade either as a centre-half or as a left-back, and at this point, the North-Rhine Westphalian lot will take what it can get.
With Dieter Hecking set to take the reins for the second half of the campaign, Die Fohlen perilously sit 14th in the Bundesliga, three points up on Hamburg and a spot in the relegation zone.
