Report: Spurs won't sell Alli amid rumours of £50M Real Madrid bid

Tottenham Hotspur will not entertain any offers for midfielder Dele Alli in the near future, according to Sky Sports' Paul Gilmour and Michael Kelleher, despite Real Madrid apparently preparing an offer which would meet his valuation of at least £50 million.

The reigning PFA Young Player of the Year has hit his best form lately, contributing five goals in three matches for Spurs, and The Mirror's James Nursey reports that Alli has attracted interest from Real Madrid, which could include Isco as part of a lucrative deal. French giant Paris Saint-Germain is also believed to be a long-time admirer of the 20-year-old.

Real Madrid is currently serving a transfer ban during the January transfer window, but Sky Sports supports claims that the club is eyeing Alli and could lodge a bid in the summer. It's understood that any such approach will be met with resistance from the north London outfit, which is desperate to not have one of its greatest assets taken by Real Madrid once again - just as Luka Modric and Gareth Bale were in 2012 and 2013, respectively.

But money talks, and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy may find it hard to spurn offers that exceed £50 million - particularly when the building of a new stadium has tightened the purse strings. These financial constraints prompted the recent tying down of various players to new contracts at White Hart Lane.

Alli was involved in the swathes of scribbled paperwork in Tottenham, agreeing terms in September which tie him to the club until 2022.
