Ohio State OC unsure about his future with program

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Ohio State's offense failed to score a point for the first time since 1993 on Saturday against Clemson, and coordinator Tim Beck admitted he doesn't know what that means for his future.

"I don't know, that's Coach Meyer's decision," Beck said after the game, as per Eric Seger of Eleven Warriors. "I worked really hard and feel good about it. We didn't finish the way we wanted to obviously. We didn't play a very good game all the way around offensively and I'm a big part of that. I'm one of the leaders of the offense. With that being said, bullets get shot at me, I gotta do a better job. That's kinda where it is. I understand that."

While the Buckeyes started off the year hot on offense, they failed to finish the season with the same consistency when facing tougher opposition as the season went on.

The difference between the team's performance in the first 10 games and the last three games is staggering:

Stats Per Game First 10 Games Last 3 games
Points 46.5 15.6
Yards 511.4 282.6
Passing Yards 244.4 112
Rushing Yards 267 170.3

Beck took over the offense for the Buckeyes after Tom Herman left for Houston following the program's 2015 national championship win.

With co-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell gone to Cincinnati for the head coach position, there will already be some turnover on the Ohio State staff. Whether Beck will be part of that remains to be seen.
