White: Rousey must do media if she keeps fighting after UFC 207
If Ronda Rousey is to continue fighting, she'll have to tend to her duties outside the Octagon.
The UFC relieved "Rowdy" of her media obligations ahead of Friday's women's bantamweight title fight against reigning champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207, but in a Wednesday media scrum, Dana White said that would be a temporary condition should she remain a member of the UFC's roster, according to ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
As for whether Rousey would break her silence post-fight, White simply assumed she would.
Rousey has largely shunned the media since Holly Holm dethroned her by second-round knockout at UFC 193 over a year ago, and White - who previously claimed Rousey felt betrayed by the press following the loss - granted her the "one and done" exemption to support her in her long-awaited comeback.
When asked if the preferential treatment Rousey received came at the behest of the UFC's owners WME-IMG - who represent her - White reportedly insisted he and the former champ had come to the decision together.
Rousey will challenge Nunes in the main event of UFC 207 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
