Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith announced Wednesday that Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals will likely be his last.

Smith cried as he ended his press conference. "I'm going to miss it," the 37-year-old veteran said, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "I'm going to mourn. It's something that's been part of my life for 16 years. There will be a transition."

Smith joked that he's "89 percent sure" he'll retire after the game - a reference to his jersey number - according to Luke Jones of WNST.net.

"I really don't have anything to complain about. I've exceeded all expectations," Smith added.

Smith previously announced his intention to retire after the 2015 season, but returned this year after an Achilles injury cut that campaign short.

"Football has given me more than I probably could give football back," Smith said. "But for 2016, '17 and beyond, this is probably my last game."

A five-time Pro Bowler, Smith has made 1,028 catches for 14,697 yards in his career, a figure that ranks seventh on the all-time list.

He's also produced some of the most memorable quotes in NFL history, including "ice up, son" and "put your goggles on because there's going to be blood and guts everywhere."
