Javier Morales joins FC Dallas
For the first time in his Major League Soccer career, Javier Morales will take the pitch wearing something other than a Real Salt Lake kit.
The Argentine, 36, has joined FC Dallas, with the club confirming the signing of the free-agent midfielder on Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Morales, who turns 37 in January, leaves Rio Tinto Stadium after a decade of excellence; the creative midfielder, at his peak one of the finest players in MLS, scored 49 goals and recorded 81 assists across 240 appearances with the club.
A three-time All-Star who helped RSL capture the MLS Cup in 2009, Morales announced his decision to leave the Utah-based side in November.
In joining the reigning Supporters' Shield holder, Morales is expected to help fill the creative void while Mauro Diaz recovers from a torn Achilles.
