Floyd active for 1st game with Patriots

Recently acquired wide receiver Michael Floyd will make his debut Saturday for the New England Patriots, as he's officially active against New York Jets.

He was picked up off waivers last week after being cut by the Arizona Cardinals on the heels of a DUI arrest.

Floyd could face jail time for his actions in Scottsdale, Ariz. and has yet to be disciplined by the NFL.

He has totaled just 446 receiving yards and four touchdowns this year with the Cardinals and isn't expected to play a large role Saturday, Schefter notes.

The New England playbook has proven difficult for receivers to grasp in short order in the past. Namely Chad Johnson and Reggie Wayne failed to make an impact after signing with the Patriots late in their careers.
