Sherman threatens to ruin reporter's career, defends sideline tirade

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman continued his war with the media at Tuesday's press conference, defending his sideline outburst during Thursday's win against the Los Angeles Rams.

Sherman threatened to remove reporter Jim Moore's press credentials following an exchange at the press conference. The four-time Pro Bowler doubled down on comments criticizing the team's decision to throw from the one-yard line during Thursday's win against the Los Angeles Rams, and said he did not apologize to any coaches.

Moore, who works for 710 ESPN Seattle, entered a heated discussion with Sherman after the cornerback spoke at length about Thursday's game, noting that he's in a good place with head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.

Stephen Cohen of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer transcribed the conversation:

Sherman was resolutely unapologetic for his tantrum Tuesday.

"I think sometimes things need to happen like that," Sherman said via ESPN's Sheil Kapadia. "People need something to talk about this week, so you're going to talk about that. But it worked out. The way our team works, it worked out fine. We're moving forward."

Sherman was scrutinized for critiquing an offensive play when he features on the defensive side of the ball, but said he'd understand why some would be furious if the defense blew a lead in the final minute of the Super Bowl and later repeated the same play call.

"If we had done something like a zero blitz in the Super Bowl and got bombed for a touchdown to lose the game, then I'm sure (it would) be understandable there, the reason," Sherman said.
