Sherman irate after throw from 1-yard line: 'We've already seen how that goes'

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman explained his sideline outburst after Thursday's 24-3 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

Sherman yelled at offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and head coach Pete Carroll during the second half of the game, incensed by their decision to throw the ball from the 1-yard line. In the midst of his outburst, Sherman needed to be restrained by defensive coordinator Kris Richard.

During Super Bowl XLIX, the Seahawks infamously threw from the 1-yard line with an opportunity to take a last-minute lead over the New England Patriots. However, Russell Wilson was intercepted by Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler, and the Seahawks ended up losing 28-24.

"I was upset about throwing from the one ... we've already seen how that goes," Sherman said postgame via NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal.

Although Doug Baldwin scored a one-yard touchdown two plays after Sherman's outburst, he remained furious with the call.

"I was letting Pete know. I was making sure Pete knew that we're not comfortable with you throwing the ball at the 1," Sherman said.

"We throw an interception at the 1, luckily it went incomplete and I wasn't going to let them continue to do that," he added.
