New Florida Atlantic head coach Lane Kiffin likes to keep it in the family at defensive coordinator.

At Tennessee and USC, Lane hired his father, the legendary Monte Kiffin, to run the defense. Now he has reportedly hired his brother Chris to be the Owls' new defensive coordinator, a source told Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports.

The younger Kiffin was the defensive line coach at Ole Miss for the past five seasons, including holding the title of recruiting coordinator. Ole Miss signed the No. 4 recruiting class in 2016.

Chris landed in hot water in May when he was pulled off the recruiting trail for 30 days over NCAA violations stemming from free meals and free nights at a hotel for a recruit's family members.

Prior to Ole Miss, he was the defensive line coach at Arkansas State. He held off-field positions with USC, Nebraska, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before that.
