Arizona's Anu Solomon to transfer

Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon announced Tuesday on Instagram that he'll transfer out of the program and play his final season elsewhere.

The Hawaiian native will take with him one year of eligibility to his new school, where he'll be able to play immediately as a graduate transfer.

Solomon took the Pac-12 by storm as a freshman in 2014, throwing for 28 touchdowns and only nine interceptions, and appeared to be en route to another strong season in 2015 before injuries got in the way.

Concussions and knee ailments hindered Solomon in the second half of the 2015 season, and continued to plague him throughout 2016. He played infrequently this season, as Brandon Dawkins ran most of the Wildcats' huddles.

Solomon wraps up his career in Tuscon with 6,922 yards, 49 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions.
