New Oregon head coach Willie Taggart took a page out of longtime mentor - and Michigan head coach - Jim Harbaugh in his introductory press conference Thursday.

"We will attack each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind," Taggart said on how the program will run day to day, as shared by The Oregonian.

The quote mimics the Wolverines head coach's tweet from 2015 that took social media by storm.

"Ever since I met Jim Harbaugh, my life has gone nowhere but up. Love him to death," Taggart explained about his relationship with his former boss while at Stanford, along with the whole Harbaugh family. "I'm indebted to that family. I always lean on them. They are always there for me."

Earlier during the press conference, President Michael Schill said his only advice for Taggart was to hire a good defensive coordinator, a presumed shot at former defensive coordinators Don Pellum and Brady Hoke.

Taggart echoed that sentiment when asked what he plans to do with the defense.

"(Get) a really good defensive coordinator, the best one we can get," Taggart beamed. "I just want a really good defense. Don't care how it looks, I just want it to be really good. I want to stop people from scoring touchdowns."

Taggart also feels the Ducks and their brand are still relevant on a national scale despite a disappointing 13-12 record over the past two seasons.

"Here at the University of Oregon we don't settle for anything but the best," Taggart deadpanned, before picking up the beat, "Buckle up, it's going to be fun. The University of Oregon is a national brand. We're going to go across the country to get the best of the best.

"I've never had the opportunity to have the kind of resources we have here."
