Melo doesn't want to talk about Jackson's critique

Carmelo Anthony didn't appear thrilled when asked about New York Knicks president Phil Jackson's recent comments that he holds the ball too long.

"Oh, c'mon," Anthony complained to media after Wednesday's 126-94 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to the New York Daily News' Stefan Bondy. "I don't want to answer those questions."

He added, "I don’t even know what was said. So I just don't want to even talk about that, what he's talking about exactly. I want to stay away from that at this point. My focus is my teammates. And winning. Whatever Phil said, he said, I have nothing to say about that."

During an interview with CBS this week, Jackson said Anthony holds the ball for too long sometimes, slowing down the Knicks' offense.

"He has a little bit of a tendency to hold it for three, four, five seconds, and then everybody comes to a stop," Jackson said. "That is one of the things we work with."

In recent years, Jackson's made something of a habit of saying things in the media that perhaps would be better kept in-house or not stated at all. His "posse" comments regarding Maverick Carter and Rich Paul drew the ire of LeBron James, who refused to talk about him Wednesday.

"I'm not answering any Phil Jackson questions," James said before the 32-point Cavs win.
