LeBron James is among a group of Cleveland Cavaliers players who have reportedly been excused from staying at the Trump SoHo hotel in New York this week, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
The Cavs have a contract with the Manhattan hotel, which has a licensing agreement with President-elect Donald Trump.
The Trump SoHo remains the team's planned accommodation in New York, as the Cavs leave Toronto for Manhattan late Monday night, with an MSG matchup against the Knicks set for Wednesday.
It was reported last month that at least three NBA teams would stop using Trump hotels after the polarizing President-elect defeated Hillary Clinton - who James famously endorsed - in the Nov. 8 election.
