Jason Chimera is a man of mystery, most notably surprising himself.
The New York Islanders forward scored a ridiculous goal Thursday night, splitting the defense of his former club - the Washington Capitals - before beating Braden Holtby with a nasty backhand.

The goal appeared to have caught his former netminder by surprise, but, as Chimera admits, he wasn't alone.
