Report: Indiana fires head coach Kevin Wilson for player mistreatment
Indiana has fired head coach Kevin Wilson, Gregg Doyel and Zach Osterman of the Indy Star report, citing athletic department sources.
An off-field issue is the reason for the dismissal, a source told Terry Hutchens from CNHI Sports Indiana.

Three days ago, quarterback Zander Diamont told FOX59 he was quitting football over a fear of brain injuries, though he didn't directly reference Wilson as the reason why he was retiring.
"I think that for my safety and my future - I’m not going to the NFL - I need my brain. So that was the decision," Diamont said.

The school is expected to make the move official at a press conference scheduled for 6 p.m. ET tonight.
In six seasons, Wilson compiled a 26-47 overall record, and 12-37 in conference play. The Hoosiers qualified for a bowl game in 2015, their first since 2007.
Indiana finished 6-6 this year, and again qualified for a bowl game, for the first time in back-to-back years since 1991.
