Atlanta Falcons defensive end Adrian Clayborn will miss at least a month of action after suffering a knee injury in Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Clayborn is reportedly likely to have surgery for an MCL tear and a partially torn meniscus.

A month-long timeline puts his availability for the remainder of the regular season in question, so the NFC South-leading Falcons are presumably holding out hope that he can make enough progress to return in time for the playoffs.

Calyborn started in five of his 11 appearances to open his second season in Atlanta, tallying 4.5 sacks to rank second behind only Vic Beasley among the team's leading pass-rushers.
