Negotiations surrounding a new collective bargaining agreement in Major League Baseball - which has a deadline of Dec. 1 attached to it - are expected to resume in Dallas on Monday and when the talks begin, a number of unexpected visitors may be in attendance.

A significant number of Latin American players are expected to attend the bargaining session between MLB and the Players' Association to fight the idea of an international draft, reports Yahoo Sports' Jeff Passan.

Free agents Jose Bautista and Fernando Rodney, as well as Seattle Mariners teammates Robinson Cano and Nelson Cruz are expected to be among the players in attendance, reports ESPN's Marly Rivera.

The idea of an international draft is one of many scenarios being discussed for a new CBA, as well as a raised luxury tax threshold, and the elimination of draft pick compensation for departing free agents.

Passan writes Latin American representation at union meetings has been an issue in the past, but the idea of the international draft spurred interest in the players. He also believes that by flying in so many Latin American players, the union is drawing "a line in the sand" concerning their stance on the potential idea of this kind of draft.

With another wrench potentially thrown in the gears of CBA negotiations, talks which are reportedly slow, could become even more sluggish raising the chances of a potential lockout, an idea Jon Heyman of Today's Knuckleball said "MLB people" are not ruling out.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports first reported the possibility of a lockout on Nov. 22 if a new CBA was not reached.
