Watch: Goff throws strike to Tavon Austin for 1st NFL TD
Kelvin Kuo / USA TODAY Sports
Jared Goff has his first career NFL touchdown pass.
In his second career start, the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft led the Los Angeles Rams down the field and found receiver Tavon Austin on a 24-yard touchdown to give L.A. a 7-0 lead over the New Orleans Saints.
The Rams promised to allow Goff more opportunities to throw the ball downfield and that has come to fruition as Goff connected on three of his first four passes in the game for 72 yards and the touchdown.
