Report: Washington's Gardenhire leaves program after refusing drug test

Washington defensive back Darren Gardenhire will be leaving the Huskies, he announced Monday.
The junior reportedly made the decision after refusing to take a university ordered drug test, according to Chantel Jennings of ESPN.
Gardenhire was primarily a special-teams contributor in 2016, totaling 13 tackles while adding one sack and a forced fumble. The decision to leave comes at an inopportune time for the Huskies, as Washington is preparing to square off against Washington State in the Apple Cup on Friday.
