Report: Astros showing interest in Napoli

The Houston Astros, major players so far this offseason, are reportedly interested in Mike Napoli's services, sources told Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

While the team is said to be looking for a left-handed hitter, Napoli could offer some leadership while splitting time between first base and designated hitter.

Earlier Sunday, it was rumored that the Seattle Mariners are among several teams seriously going after the veteran.

Over 11 seasons split between four teams, Napoli has proven to be a serious power threat. In 2016, his lone season with the Cleveland Indians, he had his best offensive season yet.

Napoli belted a career-high 34 home runs and 101 RBIs over 150 regular-season games.

So far this offseason, the Astros have acquired outfielder Josh Reddick and catcher Brian McCann.
