Shank Watch (Updated): Kickers have missed a record 11 extra points today
Sunday has been a historically bad day to be an NFL kicker.
The NFL's Week 11 Sunday slate, which includes 11 games around the league, has produced a record 11 missed extra-point attempts.
It's a new NFL single-week record, breaking the previous mark of 10 set in Week 2, 1985.
The misses included one each from Matt Prater, Kai Forbath, Connor Barth, Jason Myers, Cody Parkey, Stephen Gostkowski, and Steven Hauschka as well as a pair from both Robbie Gould and Mike Nugent.
Forbath's blocked attempt is the most notable miss of the bunch, as this week marks his first appearance with the Minnesota Vikings after replacing Blair Walsh.
The former Pro Bowler, whose struggles began when he missed a potential game-winning kick in the playoffs last year, received his release this past week after starting his season 12-of-16 on field-goal attempts and just 15-of-19 on extra points.
