Colt McCoy could be Redskins' long snapper vs. Packers

Once a hero as the NCAA's winningest quarterback at the University of Texas, Colt McCoy is now doing anything he can to contribute with the Washington Redskins.
McCoy, who hasn't thrown a pass since Week 17 of the 2015 season, will serve as the Redskins' backup long snapper this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, and may actually get on the field.
Starting long snapper Nick Sundberg is dealing with a back injury. If that ailment flares up Sunday night, McCoy will take over Sundberg's duties, head coach Jay Gruden told ESPN's John Keim.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder could be in for an interested evening - as one of the smallest linemen the NFL has seen - if Sundberg's back becomes an issue.
