A-Rod stars as co-host on 'Live with Kelly'
Alex Rodriguez continues to enjoy his post-playing days, serving as a co-host on "Live With Kelly" on Thursday.
"I'm used to 50,000 loud Yankee fans. It's much easier when you have to hit rather than have to talk," Rodriguez said as he was introduced.
The former New York Yankee has populated the television screen since stepping away from the majors in August. He's served as an analyst for FOX during the World Series and received strong reviews.
While A-Rod has not officially retired from baseball, he hinted to Kelly Ripa that his playing days were done.
"You're always going to miss playing," Rodriguez said. "I miss the locker room, I miss my four at-bats but I was so grateful to have a good finish and I thank Hal Steinbrenner for that. I got to finish in front of my mother, my daughters, fans of New York and for me it was the perfect ending."
He added: "I wasn't such a good hitter last year, that's why I'm sitting next to you."
