Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik has been given the green light to begin running with the ball just one month after undergoing surgery to repair his torn ACL.

The Polish player suffered a total rupture of the ligament Oct. 8 while on international duty, in a 3-2 World Cup qualifying victory over Denmark.

According to team physician Dr. De Nicola, Milik can increase his recovery efforts after a check-up Thursday revealed no abnormalities with the healing process.

A statement, as translated by Football Italia, on the Serie A team's website said: "Arek can start running with the ball and continue the muscle strengthening according to the rehabilitation program.

"As scheduled, this morning Milik has a follow-up visit to Professor Mariani at Villa Stuart, accompanied by Napoli’s medic, doctor De Nicola.

"The knee is fine, and Arek can start running with the ball. Meanwhile, the striker will continue his rehabilitation program with muscular strengthening and athletic training in the water.”

Though he's progressing well, Milik is still expected to miss a majority of the season after being ruled out for up to seven months.
