Many positives for Mackenzie Hughes after 3 tournaments on tour

A tie for 68th wasn't what Mackenzie Hughes had in mind for the Shriners Hospital for Children Open this week, but there are many positives to build on for the PGA Tour rookie.

Hughes, sponsored by theScore, finished at 3-under after rounds of 69, 70, 73, and 70 in Las Vegas, and it's that first-round 69 that's important. Through three tournaments, Hughes has now shot seven of 12 rounds in the 60s - a recipe for success.

A clerical error led to Hughes' inclusion in the Shriners field, and while he wasn't able to take advantage, the more PGA Tour rounds he gets under his belt, the better.
