Injury strikes 7 starting QBs in Saturday's games
The injury bug bit hard Saturday, and the quarterback position felt its wrath like no other.
A whopping seven starters went down, including several marquee names. Here's a list of the fallen signal-callers:
Deshaun Watson (Clemson)
Watson went to the locker room before halftime with a shoulder injury, and didn't see the field again in Clemson's win over Syracuse. He said he was dealing with a muscle issue, but the team reported it as a bruise. Watson was deemed available to play in the second half, but was kept on the sideline while the Tigers coasted to victory.
Clemson's next game: Saturday vs. Pitt
Trevor Knight (Texas A&M)
Knight injured his shoulder in the first quarter of Texas A&M's loss to Mississippi State, and was later seen on the sideline sporting a sling. Coach Kevin Sumlin said after the game that Knight will undergo further evaluation, and didn't comment on his status moving forward.
Texas A&M's next game: Saturday vs. Ole Miss
Tommy Armstrong Jr. (Nebraska)
Armstrong laid on the field motionless for several minutes following a tackle from an Ohio State defender, and was escorted to the hospital in an ambulance. However, the Nebraska signal-caller returned to the stadium - and his team's sideline - later in the game donning street clothes. The Huskers were blown out by the Buckeyes.
Nebraska's next game: Saturday vs. Minnesota

Chad Kelly (Ole Miss)
Kelly went down with a leg injury in the third quarter of Ole Miss' win over Georgia Southern, and didn't play another snap thereafter. He was taken to the locker room, and later reappeared on the Rebels' sideline, but had a noticeable limp.
Ole Miss' next game: Saturday at Texas A&M
Sean White (Auburn)
White didn't start against Vanderbilt because of a reported shoulder injury, but he eventually finished the bout. He relieved John Franklin III at the beginning of the second half, and led Auburn to a three-point victory over the Commodores, completing 10 of his 13 passes in the winning effort.
Auburn's next game: Saturday at Georgia
Eric Dungey (Syracuse)
Dungey exited against Clemson after being slammed to the ground, resulting in an injury of some sort. Coach Dino Babers wouldn't divulge the type of ailment he sustained, instead telling reporters he was informed by the medical staff that his quarterback wasn't available the rest of the way.
Syracuse's next game: Saturday vs. NC State
Perry Hills (Maryland)
Hills was knocked out of Maryland's encounter with Michigan after taking a late hit, but the specifics of his ailment were kept secret. Hills came down on his shoulder on the play, and the senior missed a game earlier this season because of a bum shoulder.
