Favors to sit out Jazz's opener with knee injury

The Utah Jazz's bum injury luck seems to have carried over from last season, as they'll open the 2016-17 campaign Tuesday night short two starters.
On top of swingman Gordon Hayward - who's out with a broken finger - the Jazz will be without power forward Derrick Favors, who's dealing with IT Band Syndrome in his left knee.
Shooting guard Alec Burks, still recovering from knee and ankle surgeries, is also sidelined.
Favors had a career year last season, averaging 16.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks, but missed 20 games due to back and knee injuries.
Boris Diaw will replace him in the starting lineup Tuesday.
