Rosenberry sets rookie record by playing every minute of season

Philadelphia Union defender Keegan Rosenberry probably didn't think he'd be quite so involved with his new club in this, his first season in MLS, but head coach Jim Curtin had enough faith in the 22-year-old Georgetown alum to give him a complete 34-match season in his rookie year.

Rosenberry recorded 3,060 minutes of regular season action as a part of the Union's back-four that conceded 55 goals, helping his side to a sixth-place finish in the Eastern Conference, good enough for a playoff berth.

Drafted 3rd overall by the Union in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, Rosenberry further cemented his contributions to the team with a pair of goals and assists this season.

He was also named to the 2016 MLS All-Star team.

Rosenberry's record should be unbeatable and only a benchmark future rookies can look to match - unless the league increases the number of matches played in the regular season in the coming years.
