Report: Mark Davis tells fellow owners he plans to move Raiders to Vegas
Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis intends to move his franchise to Las Vegas and plans to file the paperwork in January, multiple sources told Jim Trotter of ESPN.
"Mark Davis said that he was committed to Las Vegas 100 percent, and that there were several market studies being done by the Raiders," a source present during Wednesday's meeting told Trotter.
Publicly, Davis and other owners have been less adamant about the move, but league-wide support appears to be growing in the wake of Wednesday's presentation.
Commissioner Roger Goodell was more diplomatic, saying there was no done deal and leaving the door open to staying in Oakland.
"There's still a great deal of information that we need to gather with respect to the circumstances we see in Las Vegas, the opportunities and the challenges," Goodell said.
