Here's a team-by-team look at the most targeted players last week in the NFC (click here for AFC targets):
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Larry Fitzgerald | 9 | 56 | 9.3 |
John Brown | 7 | 45 | 7.5 |
Michael Floyd | 2 | 36 | 6 |
David Johnson | 6 | 33 | 5.5 |
Jaron Brown | 5 | 23 | 3.8 |
Arizona continues to leave Floyd out of the offense. The WR, who is in a contract year, has disappointed this season, catching just 14 passes for 192 yards. Three TDs have somewhat salvaged his fantasy value. He can only be considered in tournaments for daily fantasy.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Julio Jones | 9 | 50 | 8.3 |
Mohamed Sanu | 10 | 36 | 6 |
Jacob Tamme | 3 | 26 | 4.3 |
Tevin Coleman | 2 | 23 | 3.8 |
Devonta Freeman | 5 | 22 | 3.6 |
Sanu was targeted a lot last week, but he still tough to trust. He only caught five of those targets, which was a season high. He has been targeted six or fewer times in all but two games this year.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Greg Olsen | 7 | 60 | 10 |
Kelvin Benjamin | 14 | 54 | 9.3 |
Corey Brown | 4 | 28 | 4.6 |
Fozzy Whittaker | 2 | 23 | 3.8 |
Ted Ginn Jr. | 8 | 26 | 4.3 |
Olsen and Benjamin are still the only trustworthy receivers in the offense. Benjamin's 14 targets were a season high. Both he and Olsen could be in for great seasons if Carolina's defense continues to struggle.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Alshon Jeffery | 13 | 44 | 7.3 |
Zach Miller | 10 | 39 | 6.5 |
Eddie Royal | 6 | 37 | 6.1 |
Kevin White | N/A | 36 | 9 |
Cameron Meredith | 15 | 35 | 5.8 |
Jeffery will continue to be a target monster with White out for a long period of time. Meredith is definitely a must-add. He caught 11 of his 15 targets last week for 113 yards.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Jason Witten | 8 | 42 | 7 |
Cole Beasley | 6 | 39 | 6.5 |
Terrance Williams | 5 | 24 | 4.8 |
Dez Bryant | N/A | 23 | 7.7 |
Brice Butler | 3 | 19 | 3.1 |
Bryant hasn't played since Week 3, but he could return following Dallas' Week 7 bye. His return would hinder the production of the other receivers.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Marvin Jones Jr. | 6 | 47 | 7.8 |
Golden Tate | 10 | 41 | 6.8 |
Anquan Boldin | 9 | 37 | 6.1 |
Theo Riddick | N/A | 32 | 6.4 |
Eric Ebron | N/A | 25 | 6.3 |
Jones has seen his production tail off a bit over his past couple weeks. He has likely been dealing with more double coverage than he has ever seen in the NFL. Owners shouldn't fret, as Detroit projects to be throwing the ball a lot and only has one outdoor game remaining on the schedule.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Jordy Nelson | 7 | 47 | 9.4 |
Randall Cobb | 11 | 40 | 8 |
Davante Adams | 3 | 27 | 5.4 |
Richard Rodgers | 3 | 16 | 3.2 |
Jared Cook | N/A | 11 | 3.6 |
It might be time to sell your shares in the Packers' offense. Nelson has still been good from a fantasy perspective, catching five TDs, but the offense as a whole looks awful.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Tavon Austin | 4 | 49 | 8.1 |
Kenny Britt | 8 | 40 | 6.6 |
Lance Kendricks | 8 | 31 | 5.1 |
Brian Quick | 5 | 23 | 3.8 |
Todd Gurley | 4 | 20 | 3.3 |
Britt is coming off a 136-yard performance with two TDs. He seems to have a huge game like this every year. He only has one outing with fewer than 67 yards, so now would be the time to sell high on the talented WR.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Kyle Rudolph | 4 | 37 | 7.4 |
Stefon Diggs | N/A | 34 | 8.5 |
Adam Thielen | 8 | 25 | 5 |
Charles Johnson | 1 | 15 | 3 |
Cordarrelle Patterson | 6 | 14 | 2.8 |
The Vikings are coming off their bye week, so not much has changed. Diggs might return after missing Week 5.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Brandin Cooks | 9 | 41 | 8.2 |
Michael Thomas | 5 | 36 | 6 |
Coby Fleener | 7 | 35 | 5.8 |
Willie Snead | 7 | 25 | 6.2 |
Mark Ingram | 3 | 22 | 4.4 |
Cooks has already had two games of 140-plus yards. He's always an outstanding tournament play, though it's tough to predict when those games will occur. Choosing games at home is a safer bet. Thomas has found the end zone in three straight games.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Odell Beckham Jr. | 10 | 61 | 10.1 |
Sterling Shepard | 8 | 41 | 6.8 |
Victor Cruz | 7 | 33 | 5.5 |
Will Tye | 2 | 22 | 3.6 |
Bobby Rainey | 3 | 20 | 5 |
Beckham finally had a Beckham-like week, hauling in eight of his 10 targets for 222 yards and a TD. Neither Shepard nor Cruz has been productive lately.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Jordan Matthews | 7 | 37 | 7.4 |
Nelson Agholor | 4 | 26 | 5.2 |
Darren Sproles | 1 | 18 | 3.6 |
Dorial Green-Beckham | 4 | 18 | 3.6 |
Trey Burton | 1 | 16 | 4 |
It's tough to trust any receiver outside of Matthews. QB Carson Wentz struggled last week, and it doesn't get any easier in Week 7 against the Vikings.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Jeremy Kerley | 7 | 52 | 8.6 |
Torrey Smith | 7 | 30 | 5 |
Garrett Celek | N/A | 21 | 4.2 |
Quinton Patton | 7 | 27 | 4.5 |
Carlos Hyde | 0 | 14 | 2.3 |
The strong arm of Colin Kaepernick brought out the deep threat ability of Smith, who caught three passes for 76 yards and a score. He is worthy of a tournament flier next week against the Bucs.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Doug Baldwin | 5 | 36 | 7.2 |
Jimmy Graham | 9 | 31 | 6.2 |
Jermaine Kearse | 5 | 23 | 4.6 |
Christine Michael | 3 | 20 | 4 |
Tyler Lockett | 5 | 20 | 4 |
Graham has received eight-plus targets in three straight weeks, never totaling fewer than 89 yards in any of those games. He and Russell Wilson look like they are starting to gain chemistry. This is bad news for Baldwin owners.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Mike Evans | N/A | 62 | 12.4 |
Vincent Jackson | N/A | 32 | 6.4 |
Adam Humphries | N/A | 31 | 6.2 |
Cameron Brate | N/A | 28 | 5.6 |
Charles Sims | N/A | 19 | 4.8 |
Evans is the only trustworthy piece of the entire Bucs offense right now. Jackson has clearly lost a step.
NAME | LAST WEEK | TOTAL | AVG |
---|---|---|---|
Jordan Reed | N/A | 46 | 9.2 |
DeSean Jackson | 9 | 41 | 6.8 |
Pierre Garcon | 11 | 43 | 7.1 |
Jamison Crowder | 4 | 35 | 5.8 |
Chris Thompson | 3 | 19 | 3.1 |
Reed missed last week with a concussion and it's unclear if he will miss any more time. He has a history of concussions, so he might miss a considerable amount of time. Jackson, Garcon and Crowder will have to pick up the slack in the meantime.
