Fabinho says he has no intention of leaving Monaco

Despite interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs, highly coveted Fabinho admits he's content at Monaco and has no plans of leaving the principality club.

Manchester United, Manchester City, and Napoli are all reportedly keeping tabs on the lanky Brazilian, though Fabinho appears happy to stay put.

On the topic of leaving Monaco for a higher-profile club, Fabinho said, "I could have already done it, but I'm under contract here," according to Regis Dupont from L'Equipe.

Fabinho, who turns 23 next week, extended his contract at the Stade Louis II this summer until 2021, and has been most notably linked with a move to United as he shares an agent, Jorge Mendes, with Jose Mourinho.

While Monaco is no stranger to selling its best talents to turn a profit, Fabinho has arguably been the club's most important player this season. Able to ply his trade as both a full-back and defensive midfielder, Fabinho has bagged a team-high four goals this season for Leonardo Jardim's lot.

Sitting third in the Ligue 1 table, even on points with four-time defending champ Paris Saint-Germain and with a realistic chance of progressing to the knockout stage of Champions League, if Monaco is to succeed, it will need Fabinho in its ranks.

The five-time capped international is happy to comply, saying, "I feel good here. I'm an important player in one of the best teams in the league."
