Trevor Bauer's drone just put a big-time wrench into the Cleveland Indians' pitching plans.

The right-hander's start in Game 3 of the ALCS at Rogers Centre came to a quick end after just two-thirds of an inning Monday night, when a cut on his pinkie finger opened up and started bleeding profusely as he pitched.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons asked the home-plate umpire to check Bauer's finger, and it was then discovered that his finger was dripping blood all over his uniform.

Bauer finished the night having thrown just 21 pitches and recording two outs while walking two and striking out one. His replacement, Dan Otero, got Russell Martin to ground out to second base and end the inning.

Bauer had been scheduled to start Game 2 in Cleveland before cutting his finger while repairing one of his drones. Due to the injury he was pushed back to Game 3, but the status of his finger drew a lot of attention on social media. Pictures of the cut that appeared to be rather gruesome in nature circulated prior to first pitch.

Before the game Francona told reporters that he'd start Corey Kluber in Game 4 on short rest if Bauer couldn't make a long start.
