NFL reviewing Burfict's dive at player's knee
The NFL is currently reviewing a play from Sunday's action in which Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict appeared to dive at the knee of New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Bennett had his back to Burfict and, on replays, it looked as if the linebacker intentionally dove at Bennett's left knee well before the ball arrived.

The play drew the ire of the Patriots, namely fellow tight end Rob Gronkowski.
However, after the game, Burfict sought out Bennett to apologize and tell him he did not hit him low intentionally, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.
Burfict is no stranger to league discipline. He missed the first three games of this season due to a suspension he incurred for repeated violations of player safety rules. His play on Bennett on Sunday could fall under the same umbrella.
