Tough guys are always joking about how they can beat somebody up with one arm tied behind their back. Shane Carwin actually did it.
The former UFC interim heavyweight champion stepped between the ropes on Saturday for an exhibition boxing match with pro skateboarder and entertainer Jason Ellis. To give Ellis a puncher's chance, Carwin would be competing with one arm duct taped to his side.
It didn't help.
Showing the same power that shut down the likes of Frank Mir and Gabriel Gonzaga, Carwin smacked Ellis with a short left hook to put a merciful end to the bout.
The 41-year-old Carwin is set to end a five-year retirement soon, so this should be a good confidence booster for him.
