Buffalo Bills fans, known for their rowdy tailgating, entered uncharted territory ahead of Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Instead of Bills fans' usual good-natured fun (which often involves mimicking professional wrestlers and slamming each other through tables), some of the action in the parking lot before the game was decidedly racially tinged.
In the video above, a female fan tackles a dummy dressed as 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick while a fan nearby holds up an American flag.
Nearby, a fan taking in the scene reportedly shouted "tackle the Muslim."
Kaepernick, who has chosen not to stand for the national anthem this season in protest of racial oppression and police brutality, is starting his first game of the season Sunday.
