Walcott matches last season's output with brace vs. Swansea

Theo Walcott's career is back on track.

The Arsenal winger bagged a brace in the first half of Saturday's contest against Swansea City, bringing his current goal haul to five this season.

That's as many as he recorded in 28 matches last campaign, according to stats guru Opta.

Consistency has rarely been the name of Walcott's game - injuries have done their bit to sidetrack the 27-year-old - but he and Arsenal have remained loyal to each other in both good times and bad.

Now back in a right-wing role, Walcott has rediscovered his form. His two goals on Saturday were products of timing and placement: All Walcott had to do to score the first was tap in a bobbled ball, and a slick turn inside the penalty area provided the means for the second strike.
