John Scott's time in the limelight will last a little longer.
Fans in attendance at tonight's Michigan Tech home opener will take part in the John Scott Night celebration, with Scott on hand for the event. Scott played at Michigan Tech from 2002-06.
Scott made headlines last season when a fan vote pushed the hulking pugilist into the NHL All-Star game. Scott - who stands 6-foot-8 - has 286 career games to his credit, scoring 11 points over that time.
Scott spent last season with the Arizona Coyotes before a surprise trade sent him to the Montreal Canadiens.
