Report: Davis to miss 10-15 days with Grade 2 ankle sprain

New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis is expected to miss 10-15 days after suffering a Grade 2 ankle sprain during the team's preseason contest in China on Wednesday, sources tell The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears.

Davis sustained the injury in the first quarter after driving awkwardly to the basket versus the Houston Rockets. Davis was able to walk off the court on his own power, but did not return.

The foot injury is not considered serious, and Davis was seen walking around after leaving the game, Spears reports.

Injuries have been a concern for Davis throughout his short career, as he's never made it through more than 68 games in a single season.

The 6-foot-10 big man averaged 24.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 1.9 assists, and 1.3 steals in 61 games for New Orleans in 2015-16.

Guard E'Twaun Moore was also forced to leave the contest after suffering a right heel contusion in the second.
