Cowboys' Prescott sets rookie record for passes without an INT

Tim Heitman / USA TODAY Sports

Rookie quarterback Dak Prescott has established a new NFL record for passes from a first-year pro without throwing an interception.

The Dallas Cowboys' starting quarterback surpassed fellow rookie Carson Wentz's record of 135 passes without an interception Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

He entered the game with 131 attempts, three touchdowns, and zero picks. As of Sundays' fourth quarter, he threw 21 additional passes without being intercepted.

Before this season, the record was owned by Chad Hutchinson, who - in 2002 - went 95 passes before throwing an interception.
