Monahan ready to make preseson debut

Sean Monahan is set to make his preseason debut Thursday against Vancouver after being sidelined since early September with a back injury.

The Calgary Flames center, who signed a seven-year contract worth $44.6 million back in August, was forced to sit out the World Cup due to the ailment.
