Orgeron expects Fournette to miss Florida game

Days after announcing he expected Leonard Fournette to return this weekend, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said Wednesday the star running back is expected to miss Saturday's game against Florida.

"Doesn't look like Leonard is going to play," Orgeron said, according to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. "We don't know yet. He hasn't practiced yet."

Fournette missed the Week 2 game against Jacksonville State and last week's victory over Missouri with an ankle injury that has kept him out of practice the past two weeks.

The standout junior originally injured the ankle during training camp and re-aggravated it during a Week 1 loss to Wisconsin.

Despite the absence of Fournette, the Tigers looked impressive in Orgeron's debut, rolling up a school-record 634 total yards in a conference game during last week's win over Missouri.
