Dez Bryant has spoken out in response to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter that the wide receiver has missed or been late to dozens of team meetings and medical rehab sessions during his time with the Dallas Cowboys.

"I missed 40 meetings? I owned up to the only one I missed," Bryant told Jon Machota of the Dallas News.

"Clearly I'm America's most hated," Bryant continued, a reference to the Cowboys' nickname America's Team.

"None of my teammates would say anything like that," Bryant added, refuting the notion that the source of Schefter's report is one of his teammates. "Everything between us is nothing but love."

Bryant is not expected to play Sunday against the San Francisco 49ere as he deals with a hairline fracture in his knee. The seven-year pro has admitted to skipping a meeting and a scheduled MRI last week out of fear of receiving bad news about his injury.
