Tyson Fury tests positive for cocaine, likely to lose titles

World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has tested positive for cocaine in a VADA-conducted test, and will likely be stripped of his world heavyweight titles, a letter obtained by ESPN from VADA president Dr. Margaret Goodman to Fury's representatives revealed.

Fury was set for a title rematch with Wladimir Klitschko on Oct. 29, but pulled out last week when his camp declared him "medically unfit."

The positive urine sample was reportedly collected during a random test the day before Fury pulled out. The testing for performance enhancing drugs has yet to be completed.

Fury still has the right to have his "B" sample tested, though it's unclear if he will.

Promoter Frank Warren said he was confident the rematch would eventually take place, despite Fury delaying the bout for the third time.

Fury and Klitschko fought last November, with Fury winning by unanimous decision to claim the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles, and snap Klitschko's 10-year winning streak.
