Watch: The opening 5 minutes of Florida State-South Florida was lit

Logan Bowles-USA TODAY Sports

If you bet on the Florida State-South Florida game, here's hoping you took the over.

Just 29 seconds after the in-state matchup began, the score was already 7-7, with both teams recording touchdowns on their first offensive play.

The Bulls got things going, torching the embattled Seminoles secondary with an 84-yard touchdown pass from Quinton Flowers to Rodney Adams.

That lead would be short-lived however, as star running back Dalvin Cook took a 75-yard run to the house, leveling the score just 12 seconds later.

It took South Florida much longer to regain the advantage, chewing up a "lengthy" 2:42 of clock on a nine-play drive that culminated in a Marlon Mack 4-yard touchdown run. But after one Deondre Francois pass and two Cook runs, the Seminoles had tied things yet again.

Twenty-eight points have been scored and there's still 10:22 remaining in the first quarter. Buckle up for a shootout in Tampa.
